Game Review
In a surprising Premier League encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Crystal Palace stunned the hosts with a 3-1 victory. This result defied pre-match expectations, as Tottenham were considered favorites, especially playing at home. The match began with Tottenham taking the lead in the 34th minute through Dominic Solanke (GAP +0.1%), who capitalized on a defensive lapse by Crystal Palace. However, the game took a dramatic turn just before halftime. Crystal Palace's Ismaïla Sarr (GAP +4.7%) equalized in the 40th minute, and then doubled his tally in the 45th minute, showcasing his clinical finishing. Just moments later, Jørgen Strand Larsen (GAP -1.4%) added a third for Palace, leaving the home side shell-shocked. A pivotal moment came in the 38th minute when Tottenham's Micky van de Ven (GAP +0.6%) received a red card, reducing the home team to ten men. This significantly impacted Tottenham's ability to mount a comeback in the second half. From a tactical standpoint, Crystal Palace's manager made two changes to the starting lineup, bringing in Evann Guessand and Chadi Riad, while Maxence Lacroix and Brennan Johnson were left out. Tottenham's manager opted for four changes, introducing Kevin Danso, Pape Matar Sarr, Mathys Tel, and Souza, with Yves Bissouma, Conor Gallagher, Radu Drăgușin, and Xavi Simons making way. These changes were partly due to injuries and suspensions, as Tottenham were missing key players like James Maddison and Cristian Romero. Crystal Palace's victory was largely attributed to their effective counter-attacking strategy and the standout performance of Ismaïla Sarr, who was instrumental in their offensive play. Dean Henderson (GAP +1.9%) also played a crucial role, making several important saves to maintain Palace's lead. This win boosts Crystal Palace's confidence as they look to climb the Premier League table, while Tottenham will need to regroup and address their defensive vulnerabilities. The result leaves Tottenham questioning their form, having struggled to find consistency in recent matches.

What is GAP?
What is Plus Minus Goals (G±)?
Plus Minus Goals (G±) is the average goal difference per game while the player was on the pitch. A value above 0 indicates that the team rather wins, a value below 0 means his team concedes more goals than they score when the player is on the pitch. As an example, if the player's team is winning 3:1 the goal difference is +2, if the player's team is loosing 0:1, the goal difference is -1. It is a pure metric which is barely adjusted for circumstances to purely show the goal difference.
What is GAP?
GAP (Game Advantage Percentage) shows the percentage gap between a player and the average league player. It answers the question: How much does a player improve or worsen a team's performance? It is based on high level game data with a focus on the impact on the goal difference (G±) from the last 50 games of a player. Besides that, GAP goes further and considers game context by involving data from the player and all other players who are at the same time on the pitch, no matter if teammates or opponents. Football GAP - the individual metric for team players.
